JANUARY'S NEW MOON INTENTIONS
Think back to January 13th: what did you see for yourself for the upcoming year? What plans and dreams did you set out to fulfill? Now, think about where you are today. What have you accomplished since then? How have you grown? Have you stayed on track or have you strayed away? Maybe your goals have shifted since your initial intention setting. This full moon asks us to look back at the intentions we set for ourselves during the new moon in Capricorn and have an honest check-in with ourselves.
Keep in mind as you do this that full moons are times for recognizing and celebrating accomplishments. Wherever you are on your path, take a moment to recognize all that you have achieved and all the ways you have grown since the new moon in Capricorn. This expansion, no matter how big or small, is a feat worthy of celebrating. Considering where you were and where you are now may give you some clarity and a boost of energy to achieve what you initially set out to do.
With the moon in Capricorn and the sun in Cancer, we have an interesting mix of two cardinal signs, both of which strive for stability + security, but find that them in very different ways. The work-oriented Capricorn finds security in work, productivity, and material matters, whereas the water sign of Cancers' stability is found within relationships and the home.
While feeling productive and being in your work flow can be a great feeling, it's something that can be easily overdone. The more time you spend working, the less time you have for yourself, loved ones, and all of the other things that are important to your emotional wellbeing. This full moon is a reminder to look at your work life balance and make sure you're not spending too much of your time working.
